How It Works

When setting up a new aquarium, harmful ammonia and nitrite levels can quickly rise before beneficial bacteria become established. Tetra SafeStart introduces live nitrifying bacteria to help stabilise the aquarium faster and reduce the need for lengthy cycling periods.

It can also be used whenever the biological balance of the aquarium is disrupted, including:

• Introducing new fish
• After medication use
• Following water changes
• After filter cleaning or bacteria loss

Suitable For

• Freshwater aquariums
• Healthy freshwater fish

Not suitable for marine aquariums.

Directions for Use

1. Condition tap water using Tetra AquaSafe.
2. Shake well before use.
3. Add 5ml per 6 litres of aquarium water.
4. Recommended water temperature: minimum 20°C.
5. Introduce a moderate number of fish initially.
6. Feed lightly during the first two weeks.

Maintaining good oxygen levels will help beneficial bacteria establish more effectively.

Storage Instructions

• Store at room temperature
• Ideal storage temperature: 8°C
• Do not expose to temperatures below 2°C or above 30°C
